About the Awards
The Woman Business Owner of the Year Award is an honor bestowed upon a woman business owner in our own community who exemplifies success within her business, her life and her community. Awarded annually, the recipient will have demonstrated strong leadership skills in growing and managing a successful business that is more that three years old, while also demonstrating those skills in volunteer and civic activities.
NAWBO Rising Star Award is presented annually to a woman business owner who has demonstrated entrepreneurial creativity and determination in successfully managing a business that is less than three years old.
NAWBO Student Rising Star Award is presented annually to a student in high school or college who has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial drive and spirit while inside school and around the community. This individual should possess a spirit of leadership, charisma, and diligence.
NAWBO Corporate Chapter Partner of the Year Award is presented annually to a Corporate or Strategic Chapter Partner who has demonstrated support financially, advisory and/or in-kind.
NAWBO Member of the Year Award is presented annually to a member of NAWBO SLC who has demonstrated a high level of engagement with activities, represented a true NAWBO spirit inside and outside of events. This woman thoroughly enjoys being a member, participating with committees, and contributing as a mentor to help the community of businesses grow.
